About Us
We are public school teachers who absolutely love what we do! We started tHe I.c.C. so we could create a #teachersidehustle so that we remain in the classroom. We are STEM teachers at our core and love to CREATE, MAKE, INNOVATE and LEARN. When you support our shop you are celebrating public educators and the MAKER movement.

Ms. Scofield
I have the distinct privilege of teaching 8th graders all about the zany, exciting, and wonderfully weird world of science. Every day is an adventure in curiosity, questions, and unexpected discoveries—and I absolutely love it.
Beyond the classroom, I’m a proud parent to two incredible college students. Watching them grow into thoughtful, passionate adults has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’m so grateful for the people they’ve become and the paths they’re carving for themselves.
At my core, I’m a maker. I find joy in creating—whether it's crafting something by hand, experimenting with new materials, or designing thoughtful gifts that make someone smile. Creativity is my outlet, my recharge, and my way of bringing a little more beauty and meaning into the world.
Travel is another deep passion of mine. I love exploring new places, soaking in different cultures, and finding inspiration in the unexpected—from the texture of a cobblestone street to the colors of a sunset halfway across the world. Each trip sparks ideas and fuels my love for design and storytelling.
Whether I’m in the classroom, in my studio, or wandering somewhere new, I’m always looking for ways to connect, to create, and to share a little joy.

Mr. Lane the STEM Guy
I teach K-8 STEM in Glendale, Arizona. The thing I love most about my job is that I get students to embrace failure and learn from those failures. I get to teach about coding, 3D printing, AI and all things that are shaping the future world we live in. I am passionate about Canva and Adobe and look forward to using these products for our business.
I am the proud dad of a 7th grade boy and a daughter who is entering her freshman year of high school. I hope they will become active members in our business moving forward.
In my free time I love running (I am currently training for a marathon in October), traveling, paddle boarding, playing pickle ball and playing my buddy Radial Bone in EA Sports College Football. I look forward to learning from everyone in the Glowforge community and hopefully teaching/inspiring others to follow our lead and take a chance on themselves.
I really want to inspire students that age is only a number. It does not matter how old you are, anyone can start a business.
